Hasselblad is a brand who mainly make cameras the main thing people like about the Hasselblad is it 1×1 aspect ratio format Hasselblad was formed in 1841 by a Swedish manufacture The Swedish government realised the advantage it would be to them by developing an aerial camera for their own use. And in the spring of 1940 they approached Victor Hasselblad to help create the camera know today as HK7 camera. By late 1941, the company had over 20 employees and the Swedish Air Force asked for another camera one which would have a larger negative and could be permanently mounted to an aircraft. This this camera was known as the SKa4. Between 1941 and 1945, Hasselblad delivered 342 cameras to the Swedish military to help them capture the wars. The real turning point for Hasselblad occurred in 1957. The 1000 F was replaced by the 500 C. The landmark 500 C design formed the basis for Hasselblad’s product line for the next 60 years. it was not until 1960 though that Hasselblad’s cameras became profitable. Prior to this point the company was still being entirely supported by sales of imported photographic supplies including their distribution of Kodak products. In 1962, NASA began to use Hasselblad cameras on space flights. And since then Hasselblad only produces about 10,000 cameras a year and earn about 20 million a year.
The things i like about this image is the lighting, the background and i also like the way the photographer has placed the subject. i like the lighting in this photo because although it is black and white you can see where the light is you can see that the photographer has used natural lighting and has controlled the lighting using blinds or curtains and stuff like that to dim the light. although the light is soft it is also sharp around her face and makes her stand out more and it makes the hole image look sharper. I like the background and setting because theirs not much there and its not that complicating too look at and like it looks like your ordinary background and it still makes the image look good. I like the way the subject is because the subject is smiling it makes people think that this photo is meant to give of happy feelings like joy and i think the subject really gives of that feeling in this photo.
I like this photo because of the reflection in the spaceman’s helmet, the plant in the background and i also like how the image is in black and white. i chose this photo because this photo was taken on the moon this photo captured a bit part in the history of astronomy and it was taken on a Hasselblad camera this photo is mainly good because of the big thing that it captured and i think it needs to be part of this. i like the reflection because of how good it is you can see the person who took it this kind of makes it a self portrait for both the subject and the photographer.
